⓵ If they delivered all 776 ounces that they needed to deliver :

45 boxes + 52 boxes = 776 ounces

97 boxes = 776 ounces

Which means that 97 boxes weight 776 ounces!

⓶ You have to do a cross product in order to find out the weight of a single box :

97 boxes → 776 ounces
1 box → × ounces

(776 x 1) ÷ 97 = ×

(776) ÷ 97 = ×

776 ÷ 97 = 8

Which means that × = 8 (× being the weight of a single box)!

So to answer your problem : "Write and solve an equation to find the weight of each cookie box”

↠ My equation was : × = (776 x 1) ÷ 97

↠ The weight of each cookie box :
8 ounces

I really hope this helped, if there’s anything let me know! ☻
