Why did japan invade manchuria in 1931/10220162/ad3da96c?utm_source=registration?

The reason Japan invaded Manchuria is probably that they wanted that place. Also, one of the Japanese spies were executed that by a railway by the Chines people. So, Japan started fighting back but China did not because it was just a trick to win Manchuria. well, that's what I learned.
