Modern societies have many different characteristics, such as mass transportation, advanced health care, and access to a variety of products. What are some characteristics that you think improve people's quality of life?

Both mass transportation and advanced health care improve people's quality of life. Not too long ago many people would never travel more than 30 miles from where they were born. Today we have the ability to travel around the world. Advanced health care has not only caused life expectancy to increase but people with previously debilitating diseases can now lead normal lives.
