Answer- Joseph Addison and Richard Steele

These were the two men that contributed to "The Tatler and Spectator" which was a serial of humorous and entertaining essays in the early 1700s. Joseph Addison (a popular political figure) was the Tatler while Sir Richard Steele (A knight in the Military) was the Spectator.
