The text states that business ethics is all about the application of moral standards to business situations. Now, when it comes to moral standards, common sense plays a very major role; using common sense, you can determine what is good and distinguish it from what is bad; and you can determine whether on not to take a particular approach to business. However, there are many times in business, when the motivation that drives people is profit, and not common sense; many companies because of cost will go with substandard product because it is cheaper. This is not common sense at all. So, I agree with Marvin Klein that in most cases, common sense should be used.
