Y=3x-2 what is the value of y? when y=-1/3

Oddly enough, when y=-1/3, the value of y is -1/3.

When x = -1/3, the value of y is
.. y = 3*(-1/3) -2
.. = -1 -2
.. = -3

When x = -1/3, the value of y is -3.
