A single strand of DNA helix has the code ATAGGC. Which would be the complementary code on the other strand of the helix?

Base sequence TATCCG would be the complementary strand of DNA, because each adenine base pairs with a thymine base and each cytosine base pairs with a guanine base.

The complementary code of the code ATAGGC would be TATCCG on the other strand of the helix.

DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA is the hereditary material in humans and nearly all other organisms. Almost every cell in a person’s body has the same DNA, and it is located in the cell nucleus.

The information in DNA is stored in as a code made up of four chemical bases: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T).

The two DNA strands are refered to as polynucleotides since they are composed of simpler monomeric units called nucleotides.
