Mr. Wiesel did not accept the offer that their former maid Maria suggested. However, he allowed his children to choose what they want to do if ever they had other plans in mind. He let his children decide for themselves.
After thinking it over, the family decided to stay together because they trust Mr. Wiesel and don’t want to separate from each other. Then Eliezer proposed that they go to Palestine but once again, Mr. Wiesel declined the offer because he said he was too old now.
