The correct answer is C. Lizards and snakes are more alike since both species have a recent common ancestor.

The first reptile evolved from reptiliomorpha labyrinthodonts. The oldest reptile was attributed to hylonomus which was unquestionable.

It was small and animal like lizard which had many teeth which indicated insectivorous diet.
