True or false?

A midsegment does connect the two midpoints of two sides of a triangle.

The part that is misleading is "creating two congruent parts"

The midsegment does not split the triangle into two congruent parts. As you can see from the picture, that top triangle is not the same as the bottom. The top is a smaller triangle and the bottom is more like a trapezoid.

This statement is false.

I hope this helps!
