The appropriate answer is true, informal labor is part of every country's economy. Even though activities from the informal sector are not included in the GNP and the GDP the government is very aware of the existence of the sector. Governments know that the informal sector provides employment for individuals who would otherwise be unemployed or involved in negative activities. The sector is also welcomed because governments would otherwise have to provide welfare.
