Describe the structure of amino acids, including what makes amino acids different from each other.

Amino acids is made of amino group, a carboxyl group, a hydrogen atom, and a side chain bonded to the central carbon atom.The side chain,and its physical and chemical properties is what makes each amino acid different from the other.

All amino acids found in protein have a basic structure, which differ only in the structure of the R-group or the side chain. The simplest and smallest amino acid is found in proteins is glycerin for which the R-group is a H (hydrogen) . In proteins the only L-isomer is found normally.
