The perimeter of a rectangle is 900 yards. What are the dimensions of the rectangle if the length is 70 yards more than the width?

perimeter=2(l+b)
=900=2(l+b)
let width be x
=900=2(70+x+x)
=900=2(70+2x)
=900÷2=70+2x
=450=70+2x
=450-70=2x
=380=2x
=380÷2=×
x=190
so, width = x
=width=190
breadth=190+70
=breadth=260
