What does it mean for two polygons to be similar

When two polygons are similar, it means they the the same shape.

For example, in the image provided, pentagon ABCDE is similar to pentagon RSTUV. The symbol we use for similarity is a squiggly line. Also, if two polygons are similar, then corresponding angles are congruent.
