A birds egg is fragile but does not crack under the weight of the mother bird sitting on it.why?

The perfection of nature does not exclude things that seem fragile, the eggs of birds are very robust and their oval shape gives them the necessary resistance to support the bird when it sits, as would an engineer building a bridge, the egg shape distributes the pressure of the bird and so it does not break.
