One common secondary protein, the alpha helix, forms coils like those seen here. This secondary protein structure can be found in keratin, a component of hair. How are these coils of proteins held together? A) by van der Waals interactions Eliminate B) by H-bonding between every 4th amino acid C) by oxygen and nitrogen atoms of the backbone that are electronegative D) by the interactions between side chains (R groups) of various amino acids

the answer here is B

Alpha helix or helices are held together by hydrogen bonds that are found between hydrogen linked to nitrogen in the peptide bond and also to oxygen attached to a carbon found in a peptide bond.
