We're simply just trying to find an equation, so our first step is to find the slope within that equation.

We must first find the slope of the given equation. Since the given equation is in slope-intercept form, we know that 3/4 is the slope.

**Remember : slope-intercept form is ~ y=mx+b, where m=slope, b=y-intercept**

Now, if we're finding the slope of an equation that's parallel to it, the slope stays the same.

So, if the slope of the given line is 3/4, then the slope of the line parallel to it is also 3/4.

Now, to find the y-intercept, simply plug in (-4, 0) into slope intercept form.

y = mx + b

Plug everything in.

0 = 3/4(-4) + b

Simplify.
