Both cod and haddock are important commercial fish species. why would it be important for scientists to know more about how these species interact and what they eat? because no other species interact with them because ecological forecasts only work for predators because species in an ecosystem are interdependent because they both prey only on herring

It would be important for scientists to know more about how these species interact and what they eat because species in an ecosystem are interdependent. All living things are reliant on their ecosystem. Any change in that ecosystem can have devastating effects on all organisms that live in that environment. It is especially important that we as humans monitor those animals which we use as food sources, because their extinction could have effects on our survival.
