The symptoms of diabetes mellitus include high plasma glucose levels and ketoacidosis (blood ph decreases due to increasing levels of ketones). explain how diabetes causes these symptoms.

high plasma glucose level: glucose in the blood are not being absorbed my muscle cells, blood cells or fat cells. so their number keep increasing.
blood ph: as glucose are not oxidized, the body find energy from other sources like fat and proteins. this release high amount of ketone bodies in blood. ketones are acidic so ketoacidosis.
