Note that 1 in = 0.0254 m.
Therefore
8.49 in = 8.49*0.0254 = 0.215646 m
11.09 in = 11.09*0.0254 = 0.281686 m
The area is
0.215646*0.281686 = 0.060744 m²
Answer: 0.060744 m²
