Electrolytes have many roles in the body as to maintain it's function. For example in sweating electrolytes maintain the water balance outside and inside of the cells so as to have the organs involve to keep on functioning. Some examples include sodium that keeps the fluid balance intact. Another is Potassium that can prevent someone to cramp.
