Clouds are a very important part of managing the amount of energy that comes from the sun. Clouds block out solar energy from reaching Earth's surface, which is why areas with low cloud coverage are often the sites of solar panels field. Without clouds, many areas would be uninhabitable due to all the energy coming from the sun.
