How do the X- and Y-coordinates change when a figure is translated right a units and down b units?

Hey there,

The x and y coordinates change as a shape or figure moves up and down, left or right. As something goes up numbers get bigger and down the numbers get smaller.

translating right means to move horizontal on the x axis changing the x coordinate.
same for y coordinate but going up means moving vertically
