The answer is true. This is because he was called as "opportunist" because people define his time of democracy as "good talk with which to win the favor of the people". He won elections without providing reforms of democracy. However, his movement was to control the power of Eastern capitalist in order to give it to the befit to farmers and laboring men.

Andrew Jackson’s experience in law, public office and the military were the defining points that he would lead with democracy. Law had given him the strategies in looking into the human condition and tendency to see fairness and justice. His public service made him aware of the manner people regard what was beneficial to them and what really worked for them – some rights and privileges to be accepted as free citizens of their country. Finally, his military knowledge enabled him to see that decisions based on the majority rule fit well into the needs and desires of the common man.
