To find the x-intercept, simply set y to 0, and to find the y-intercept, simply set x to 0.

x-intercept:

2x+4(0)=-12\\ 2x=-12\\ x=-6

Our x-intercept would then be (-6, 0)

y-intercept:

2(0)+4y=-12\\ 4y=-12\\ y=-3

And so our y-intercept would be (0, -3)
