Explanation:

Length of the tree from root tip to top = Length of the tree from root tip to ground level + Length of the tree from ground level to top

It is given that the length of the root is 13 feet..

Also, it is given that the elevation of the tree above the ground level is 28 feet.

Hence, length of the tree from root tip to top = 13 + 28

= 41 feet.
