s(-3,0) & y(1,-3)
you can multiply y by 5 then calculate or you multiply by 5 in the equation
so you take (x) of s and subtract it from 5(x) of y and add it to (y) of s subtarcted from 5(y) of y then make radical for the formula

s - 5y = \sqrt{( - 3 - 5(1)) {}^(2) + (0 - 5( - 3)) {}^(2) } = √(64 + 255) = √(289) = 17
