In simplified exponential notation, the expression x^3•x^-4•x=

Since all of the bases (x) are equal you just add the exponents.

(The x has an exponent of 1)

3 + -4 + 1

-1 + 1

0

Since the answer is 0 it is x^0

And any number or variable set to the power of 0 equals 1, therefore...

ANSWER: x^3 • x^-4 • x = 1
