Projective tests are personality tests that consist in a person's response to ambiguous stimuli, the most common example of this are the Inkblot Tests. The ambiguous stimuli allows the person to project themselves into the test often revealing internal conflicts, hidden emotions and other latent material. So concluding, projective tests are designed to learn more about the unconscious conflicts of the subjective/patient in question.
