Japan introduced a bureaucratic government just like in China, as well as a strict law code, and the Japanese emperors adopted the idea of absolute power, just like in Chinese monarchy. The writing and some aspects of fashion and culture are similar in both countries, but mainly in the religious aspect such as the overspread of Buddhism and Confucianism.
