The Thirty Years War was a "Series of wars" started in 1618- when the Austrian Habsburgs tried to impose Roman Catholicism on their protestants subjects in Bohemia.
The Treaty of Westphalia signed on October 24, 1648, officially marked the end of The Thirty Year's War.
