The function V(S) = 0.094S can be used to find the approximate volume of a sphere (V, in cubic units) in terms of its surface area (S, in square units). If the volume of a soccer ball is 1,930.75 cubic centimeters, what is the surface area of the soccer ball to the nearest cubic centimeter?

Given the function, V(S) = 0.094S

Where,

V is the approximate volume of a sphere in cubic units

S is the surface area of the sphere in square units

If V(S) = 1,930.75 cubic centimeters,

S = ?

V(S) = 0.094S

1,930.75 = 0.094S

0.094S = 1,930.75

Divide both side of the equation by 0.094

0.094S/0.094 = 1,930.75/0.094

S = 20,540 (to the nearest cubic centimeter)
