According to the data from 2015,the permanent forests in Russia take about 45% of the whole country. That 885 million hectares of forest area. This makes Russia the holder of 25% of the whole worlds wood reserve, and this is the industry that is worth to Russia yearly around 20 billion US dollars. This is also one of the Russia's oldest industries.
