The Five-Factor model of personality developed McCrae and Costa claims that universally, humans have five personality factors that are on a spectrum. They are: openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism. Out of these, 5 traits, other species also display qualities of:

-Neuroticism
-Agreeableness
-Extraversion

These findings were reported by Gosling & John (1999) in their study, where they examined the applicability of the Five-Factor model of personality on 12 non-human species.
