easy! that is a special triangle w/ angles 45-45-90 and sides x-x-
√(x) respectively

so, because u are given the xs of the theory i explained you above (which in this case are "8"), u only have to plug in the 8 value into the square root.

Pythagorean theorem:
hypotenuse²=leg₁²+leg₂²
In this case : leg₁=leg₂
therefore:
hypotenuse²=2(leg)²
hypotenuse=l(leg)√2

Leg=8
hypotenuse=x

x=8√2

Answer: x=8√2
