Part (a)
See the mark on the angles
∠A = ∠P
∠B = ∠Q

The two angles are congruent, the two triangles apply to Angle-Angle postulate (AA Postulate)

Part (b)
(3x + 6)/24 = 28/32
(3x + 6)/24 = 7/8
3x + 6 = 7/8 × 24
3x + 6 = 21
3x = 15
x = 5
