80% of the 6th graders at Harrison Middle are going on a field trip to the Museum. There is a total of 685 students in 6th grade. How many students are going on the field trip?

80%=.8, .8*685=548. This is the simple math that you need. For the percentages, move the decimal place two places to the left and then multiply by the number that you want to get the percentage of.
