. Photosynthesis is plants taking in water, carbon dioxide, and light to make sugar and oxygen. This is important because all living things need oxygen to survive.

Photosynthesis is important because that's what plants use as their "food." When we make food, we eat it, and that's how we get energy. That's basically how plants get their energy. Glucose, and the Sun.
