The right answer is glucose (sugar).

The cell continually needs energy to do this work. It produces this energy through a process called cellular respiration where glucose is degraded to form ATP.

Aerobic cellular respiration requires oxygen, produces a lot of energy → 36 ATP, occurs in the mitochondria of the cell, only the most complex living beings are capable (some eukaryotes).
