Plagiarism
Plagiarism involves directly copying text from another author's work without quoting it or giving credit to the author. Another form of plagiarism is also paraphrasing text from another author's work without giving them credit. Plagiarism is not only unethical, it can also lead to expulsion or suspension from academic institutes. Furthermore, if an individual is found guilty of plagiarism in published journals or books, he or she can experience defamation and law suits.
