If base measure is given, add that with the other 6 triangle surfaces. First, multiply the measure of one side of the hexagon with the slant height of the triangle. Divide by 2 to get the area of one triangle side. Then multiply by 6 to get total of the 6 triangle sides. Add the base measure and the triangle measure to get the surface area.
