During the process of photosynthesis light energy from sunlight is trapped by chlorophyll pigment present in chloroplast. This trapped light energy along with water and carbon dioxide produces carbohydrates as source of food. These carbohydrates are converted into ATP molecules, which are stored in the form of chemical energy.
