To make a line parallel to another it must have the same slope
Given that we need to find a line parallel to y=5x-3
It must also have a slope of 5
y=5x+a
Since it passes through (-2,-4)
(-4)=5(-2)+a must be true
so a=6
y=5x+6 is the answer
