Minorities in a community refers to an ethnic, religious, racial or other groups with distinctive presence in the community. It entails a group having little power or representation compared to other groups in the society. For example in the USA, the Europeans Americans consist of the largest percentage (majority), while the others such as latin Americans, black Americans,native Americans are considered the minorities.
