Yes, giving the employees empowerment by encouraging them to participate in decision making and to exercise initiative and​ imagination, and rewarding them for doing so does increase their effectiveness. Their effectiveness is directly correlated to their confidence in their work. If you continue to strengthen their confidence by highlighting the items above, they will in turn be much more effective.
