most of the population is without health insurance. socially, friends and family try to help, have a dinner or social event to raise money. economically, fam and friends are just making ends meet on they're income as it is. Cancer treatment in the US is not affordable and hospitals are trying to deflect the cost by charging the insured clients astronomically for they're health care to make up for lost funds.
