True. The author was fearless and expressed the views which right described what the America of that time was and was not scared of the negative publicity that might be attached to it or how it will affect his writing career but instead he set the standards. He went on to author great best seller such as the great gatsby.

That statement is false.
I believe it's the other way around. F Scott fitzgerald actually often tell his character's glorification of war.
Could be seen on the great Gatsby, where he told about his experience in handling machine gun during the war.
