The Federalists made up of people like Benjamin Franklin and Antifederalists made of people like John Hancock had opposing views about how government should be run. Federalists believed in the Constitution and the Antifederalists preferred the Articles of Confederation. Federalists were for the Bill of Rights where as the Antifederalists weren't. Federalists base was more centred in the urban areas whereas the Antifederalists was more concentrated in the rural areas.
