A relation is plotted as a linear function on the coordinate plane starting at point C at (0,-1) and ending at point D at (2,-11)

What is the rate of change for the linear function and what is its initial value? Select from the drop down menus to correctly complete the statements. The rate of change is -11 or -5 or 0 or 5 and the initial value is -11 or -2 or -1 or 0

The rate of change is the slope.

slope = m = (-11 - (-1))/(2 - 0) = (-11 + 1)/(2) = -10/2 = -5

The initial value is the y-intercept. The y-intercept is (0, -1), so the initial value is -1.
