An abstract is a thought or an idea that cannot be seen, felt, heard, smelled, and tasted without being expressed by the person holding it. It is physically nonexistent; thus, it can't be perceived by one or more of the five senses. Once an abstract is either spoken or put into action, then some of the senses can perceive it.
